IEEE-GRSS ARISA 2026 – IEEE-GRSS International School and Workshop on Advanced Synthetic Aperture Radar Imaging, Systems, and Applications will take place in Naples, Italy, from 1 to 4 September 2026. The international initiative is sponsored by the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS), one of the leading scientific communities in the fields of remote sensing and Earth observation.

The school is primarily intended for young researchers and professionals interested in microwave remote sensing, radar signal processing, and Earth observation. The program will cover topics ranging from electromagnetic modeling to advanced imaging techniques, while also highlighting the growing role of integrating physics-based models with data-driven approaches.

The workshop will provide a forum for interaction between established researchers and early-career scientists, fostering discussion on emerging challenges in SAR and its applications. For the electromagnetics community, ARISA represents an important opportunity for scientific exchange, professional development, and the creation of new collaborations in a strategic field for environmental monitoring, land management, and space technologies. Participants will have the opportunity to present scientific contributions, and a Best Presentation Award will be granted. Registration is free of charge, and travel grants are available for participants from IEEE Region 8.
