The IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society has awarded Prof. Giuseppe Vecchi the 2026 Harrington-Mittra Award in the field of computational electromagnetics.
The award was presented for “pioneering innovations in integral equation methods for multiscale problems and for advancing new applications in computational electromagnetics.”
Throughout his scientific career, Prof. Vecchi has contributed to the development of numerical methods for the analysis of complex electromagnetic problems, with particular focus on integral-equation-based models and applications to RF and microwave systems.
The award recognizes contributions that have had a significant impact on the development of computational tools for the analysis and design of advanced electromagnetic systems, further confirming the prominent role of the Italian community in this field.
The President, Prof. Alessandro Toscano, together with the entire community of the Italian Society of Electromagnetism, warmly congratulates Prof. Vecchi on this important achievement.
